Snow Leopard Migration

Welcome to the 2011 Snow Leopard Migration

The purpose of this site is to help guide you through the steps required to prepare your Apple computer for the re-imaging process that will be performed this summer by Information Technology Services (ITS). Due to limited resources and the time required to complete this project district wide, we are asking for your help in performing some steps to save time. These steps are required to insure that any data that you have created is preserved prior to the re-imaging process. The re-imaging process will delete everything off of your computer hard drive and install a fresh copy of Apple OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

The archiving (backup) processes that are discussed on this site are good practices to follow year round and not just for this particular project. As the computers in our district begin to age, the hard drives that store your information will eventually fail, which will cause a loss of data. It is not a question of if, but when....just ask Becky White.
